Vocations Sunday is this Sunday, the 4th Sunday of Easter

The Diocesan Priest: a call from God, a call to serve. At this time of the year those about to be ordained are making their final preparations. An important part of this preparation is the ordination retreat, where the soon to be priest has a chance to spend some exclusive time with the Lord.

If you have been considering a call to priesthood you too can give some of your time to Him:

Come and See Vocations Weekend. St Patrick's College, Maynooth, 18th/19th May.

This Sunday’s basket collection is for vocations for the diocese.

There are currently 3 students for the priesthood in the Diocese of Meath.                                    Tony Shannon is studying in the Pontifical Irish College, and Norman Allred and Colin Dunne are studying in the Pontifical Beda College. Please keep them in your prayers.

                                               Prayer for Vocations

“O Jesus, send labourers into your fields which are awaiting holy apostles, saintly priests, heroic missionaries and dedicated sisters and brothers.

Enkindle in the hearts of men and women the spark of a vocation.

Grant that Christian families may desire to give your Church helpers in the work of tomorrow”.

(Prayer for Vocations, St. Joseph Young Priests’ Society)
