Parish Meetings


A meeting of the Board of Management of Ratoath Junior National School will take place on Monday evening at 8.00pm in the school.


A meeting of the Board of Management of Rathbeggan National School will take place on Monday evening at 9.00pm in the school


A meeting of the Parish Finance Committee will take place on Monday evening at 8.30pm in the Parochial House.

Baptism Times


At a recent meeting of the Parish Liturgy Committee it was decided that as and from 1st August next, a change will be made to the time of baptisms.

From the 1st August 2006, baptisms will take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at 4.30pm and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 1.15pm.




The Priory Institute, Tallaght, offers a study programme in theology by distance learning using the method made famous by the Open University. The programme comes in fifteen-week modules and is based on specially designed text-books to be studied at home. Participants from all Ireland are supported by a network of study-centres and by internet support if accessible. The programme can be done either for academic credit or simply for its own sake, without the pressure of written assignments. The deadline for applications for the Autumn is September 20th . Parents of Children with Special Needs

A support group for the parents of special needs children is getting up and running in the community. The first meeting was held at the end of May. A second meeting is to be held on the 21st of June between 10am and 12noon, in the Community Centre. Rataoth GAA: Come and Celebrate our 3rd Anniversary in Sean Eiffe Park commencing on Friday 23rd with Mass at 7.30pm. On Saturday 24th, games begin at 5.00pm, Music and BBQ at 9.00pm.

Ratoath Athletic Club wish to congratulate James Lysaght , a member of Ratoath Athletic club, and competing for his school, Belvedere,  who won the All Ireland Schools junior discus title with a winning throw of 39.53m. James has subsequently gone on to win the Meath Community games title and will represent Meath in the national community games at Mosney later on in the season.  

Congratulations to the Senior Mens  4x100 Relay team (Colm Keogh, Neil Finnegan, Shane Mc Mahon, Stephen O'Brien and Matthew Fogarty who won the Leinster Club title and were second in the National Finals.
