Congratulations to Margaret Scannell & Michael Fitzpatrick who were married recently.



Please pray for Michael (Jack) Ryan who died during the week. May he rest in peace.



We welcome Bishop Smith to our parish this Friday for the Sacrament of Confirmation.


We wish the girls and boys who are receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation every good wish and blessing for the day. We thank them for all their hard work in preparing so well for this day and thank also their parents who have supported them on their faith journey this year. A special thanks to their teachers and all the schools who are working to make this coming Friday such a special day for the boys and girls. There are two ceremonies on Friday -11.00am and 3.00pm, at which 197 candidates will be confirmed.




This Sunday is Vocations Sunday. The basket collection at the Masses is for vocations for the priesthood for the Diocese of Meath.






This is the last request for the return of Trocaire Boxes. Your contribution can be placed in the box that will be placed at the altar (near the baptismal font). Thank you for your generosity to this year’s Lenten appeal, which will make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.                                                                                                           




A meeting for parents who have children for baptism in the near future will be held in the


Parish Pastoral Centre on Wednesday 10th May at 8.00pm



St Oliver's Pilgrim Walk is organised by the Knights of St Columbanus and involves a pilgrim walk around Drogheda's 7 beautiful churches ( 3.2Km) . It takes place on Friday 26thMay and Saturday 27thMay 27 starting at Our Lady of Lourdes Church via, St Peter's Church of Ireland, Augustinian Church, St Mary's, Holy Family Church, St Mary Magdalene's Dominican Church and finishing at St Peter's Church where the Shrine of St Oliver Plunkett and his holy relics are located. Pilgrims can complete the walk on either day between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm or can be completed over the two days.

Safeguarding Training - David Gavin and Antoinette Shaw will deliver an information session for parish safeguarding representatives and parish volunteers in Ashbourne on Wednesday 7th June at 7.30pm.  The one-hour session will provide some useful updates for people such as sacristans, choir directors (where children are involved), parish sacramental coordinators and volunteers who work with children.  Parishes in vicinity of Ashbourne are asked to attend.
