Please pray for: Brigid Quinn, (Ranelagh) mother of Moira Murphy, Elgarstown & Dunshauglin and for Tom Farrell (Harlockstown and London) brother of Maeve Gallagher and Katie Green and for who died during the week. May they rest in peace.



This Sunday, Easter Sunday, is a blue offering day.


The collection at the Good Friday Ceremonies for the persecuted Christians in the Holy Places and the suffering Church in the wider Middle East raised €950. Thanks to all who generously supported this worthy cause.


A meeting for parents who have children for baptism in the near future will take place in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Wednesday next 8th April at 8.00pm


The Divine Mercy Novena began on Good Friday and for those who wish to pray the novena, leaflets are available at the back of the church. The Novena concludes on Divine Mercy Sunday.


Trocaire Boxes should be returned to the church. We thank you for your support this Lenten season to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.



Youth 2000 Ireland will be hosting a youth retreat in St Finian's College, Mullingar, Co Westmeath from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April. The weekend will consist of workshops, drama, inspirational talks, testimonies, prayer, music and chill out time.  Retreat starts with registration on Friday at 8.00pm. This is a great opportunity to find out what your faith is all about in a friendly atmosphere. For young people aged 16-35.  For more information see or call 01 675 3690.

Many thanks to all who helped with the Holy  Week Ceremonies, - sacristans and servers, altar society and  church cleaners, the Parish choir, the Parish Folk Group, musicians and organists and cantors;                                                                

Commentator, readers, and Eucharistic Ministers;                      Participants in the Washing of the Feet and                                  the presentation of the gifts on Holy Thursday.                      Eucharistic ministers who took Holy Communion                  to the sick and housebound.                                                    Those who assisted for the Veneration of the Cross,                      and those who lead the Stations on Good Friday.                                   Those who prepared the Palm for Palm Sunday,                                  the altar of repose for Holy Thursday and                                       those who prepared the flowers for Holy                   Thursday, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday.


We wish all our parishioners a very Happy and Joyful Easter.


An Easter Blessing                                                                                         May the risen Christ fill you with joy,                                                      a joy only he can give,                                                                   May his triumph bring new hope                                                           and new light into your life.                                                            May you share today in the                                                    exaltation experienced by all his disciples.                    May you be a witness to his resurrection to                  all you meet and greet today.                                                Amen.
