The 50th International Eucharistic Congress – Dublin

Thousands of pilgrims have registered from over 120 countries and thousands from around Ireland.  2,000 volunteers have received training and are ready to meet the pilgrims.               We encourage parishioners to attend even if for a day

Download the IEC2012 APP!

An APP has been launched to provide pilgrims mobile information about the Congress. The App includes the full Congress program, a personal planner and maps of where each event is located, but also general information, news and multimedia items for users who are not going to be in Dublin in June. The APP will also be providing videos, articles and photos of everything that is happening in the Eucharistic Village and the final Mass of the Congress. (Only available for iPhones and iPads)

The Opening Ceremony (Sunday 10th June, the Feast of Corpus Christi) will take place in the Arena at the RDS. The liturgy will include Mass and a colourful celebration of Irish Heritage, both cultural and spiritual. The ceremony will acknowledge the Gathering of thousands of people and extend a true Irish welcome to national and international pilgrims, featuring some 500 participants and some of Ireland's finest musicians and singers. A limited supply of tickets available

The Statio Orbis (Sunday 17th June) is the Liturgy on the final day of the Congress and will take place in Croke Park Stadium. The Mass will be celebrated by the Papal Legate. It is a time of pause (Statio) and come to terms with what it means to celebrate, receive and live the Eucharist. Thousands will gather together in celebration and song; bringing their deepening faith and understanding into their everyday lives. Very few tickets left and expect to be sold out shortly.

Tickets will also be available after the June Bank Holiday weekend in certain Centra and Super-Valu stores.

Details and the full list of Eucharistic Congress events is available on

The closing Mass for the Eucharistic Congress will be held in Croke Park on Sunday 17th June.
