Congratulations to Olivia McLoughlin & Kevin Dyer who were married during the week.
Many thanks to all who so generously supported the East African Famine Appeal which raised €7,450.00 over the past three weekends. The amount has been forwarded to Trocaire.

Ratoath Senior Citizens annual party in Tattersalls will be held in early September. Rataoth Harvest Festival, organised by the Chamber of Commerce takes place on Saturday 10th September. If you wish to help or take a stand at the festival, contact Bee Flanagan on 086-8094294 
Girley Harvest Festival Kells on Sunday 28th August at 12 Noon. Admission €10. Children free.

Pathways is a course for adults who wish to explore their faith.  There are no exams on this course, no written work.  The only qualification is an openness to listening to others.                                              The New Missal                                            The Roman Missal, will be implemented in Ireland over a period of time from September and will be fully in use by the First Sunday of Advent, November 27. Over the past three months, in the parish bulletin, we have carried some information on the changes that are to be implemented.      In Ratoath Parish we hope to introduce the Congregational Card which will have all the changes in the people’s parts of the Mass beginning on the first weekend of September.

Reader at the Weekend Masses – opt for Sat.7.00pm ; Sun 9.00am; or 11.00am or 12.15pm


Youth Readers for Mass (Junior Cert Students upwards)


Eucharistic Minister (two evenings sessions in preparation and commissioned in Nov)


Eucharistic Adoration (Any time on Wednesdays from 10.00am to 10.00pm)


Member of the Liturgy Committee (About  8 meetings a year)


Member of the Children’s Liturgy Committee – for the 11.00am and 12.15pm Masses. About 3 or 4 times a year.


Trocaire Parish Representatives – 2 people required. 

Some basic training (over 4 sessions) given by Trocaire staff


Member of the Baptismal Team. Basic training required. About 4 times a year.


Member of the Parish Choir (practise on Tue at 8.30pm for an hour. Sing at 12.15pm)


Youth Choir – meet every Monday evening. Sing once a month at 11.00am


Children’s Choir – waiting list. Practise on Wed at 7.00pm for an hour.

Sing  every alternative Sat 7.00pm


Member of the Altar Society – a commitment for one month in the year.

About 8 hours in all


Member of the Cleaning Group for the Church – about 4 to 5 times a year


Legion of Mary –meet every Monday evening in the Parish Pastoral Centre


Altar Servers (Forms will be given to those interested in the schools in early September)
