Congratulations to Evan Sherry (Jamestown Park), Orla Skerrett (St. Oliver’s Park), Eoghan Leahy (Lagore Road) and Roisin Morgan (The Old Mill) who were baptised recently.


Please pray for Elizabeth Brady, mother of Joan Nelson (Glascarn Lane) and for James Lawless (Dunshaughlin), father of Michael Lawless (Curragha Road) who died during the week.

May they rest in peace.

Diary for the Week Ahead


Monday:           Board of Management of St. Paul’s National School meet at 3.30pm in the

                          Parish Pastoral Centre



                          The parish Baptismal team will meet at 8.00pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre


Tuesday:          Board of Management of Ratoath College meet at 7.00pm in the College


                         The core team of parents for the “Do This in Memory of Me” programme meet at

                          7.30pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre.


                         The Parish Choir will practice at 8.30pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre


Wednesday:     Eucharistic Adoration from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the church (family room)

                          We pray for all our dead during the month of November at our adoration.


                         The Children’s Choir will practice from 7.00pm to 8.00pm in the church



Thursday:       The second meeting for new Eucharistic Ministers will be held in the Parish Pastoral  

                         Centre at 8.00pm. The presentation, to last about an hour, will be given by

                         Mr. Brendan O’Reilly (The Administrator of Alive O Programme)

                        All existing Eucharistic Ministers are welcome to attend.


                        The Legion of Mary meet at 8.00pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre.


                        The Folk Group will practice in the Church beginning at 8.30pm


Saturday/       The children of second class and their parents will be attending the second of their

Sunday:          special Masses as part of the “Do This in Memory of Me” programme, in

                        preparation for their First Holy Communion.

Ratoath Community Support Group (supporting parents of children with special or additional needs). The group meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month. The next meeting  is on Tuesday 13th  November at 8pm in the Community Centre (Boardroom). Newcomers very welcome! For more information on the group or the meetings, contact Doreen on 8257902.


An Exhibition of recent work by artists Betty Flanagan, Jacinta Eiffe, and Marguerite Dolan. There will be a raffle for three paintings (one by each artist) in aid of the Meath Mental Health Association will be held in the Newgrange Hotel on Sunday 11th November 12.00noon – 9.00pm

Public Meeting on Road Safety and how it affects everyone Guest Speaker Gay Byrne, Thursday 15th November in Ashbourne House Hotel at 8.00pm Organised by Meath Community Fora, Meath County Council, and the Road Safety Authority. Refreshments from 7.30pm.


Pilates Classes on Tuesday evenings in Gaelscoil na Rithe, Dunshaughlin at 8.00pm


The AGM of the Ratoath/Rathbeggan Community Games will take place on Wednesday 14th November 2007 at 8.30pm in the Board Room of the Community Centre. We would particularly encourage new people to the area (and old!) to attend the meeting and become involved in our local community.  For further information regarding Community Games and list of events please go to  We look forward to seeing you on the night.


Rehearsals are currently underway as Dunshaughlin Players prepare to present "Other Places" a trilogy of One-Act Plays by Harold Pinter on Sat 24th and Sun 25th  November in the Venue Theatre, Ratoath, Community Centre, Ratoath.


Ratoath Active Age will meet on Friday 16th November in the Community Centre.


Othello will be staged in The Venue Theatre as part of the Drama for Schools initiative from Monday 12th through to Sunday 18th Nov. For bookings, telephone 6895600
