Congratulations to Katie Keane (Cabinhill), Adam O’ Connor (Steeplechase Green),

Shannon Hickey (Steeplechase Green), Howard Doyle (Steeplechase Green),

Quillan Matthews (Fox Lodge Manor), Kate O’Sullivan (Fox Lodge Manor),

Sean Caffrey (Mill Tree Park) and Carla Caffrey (Mill Tree Park) who were baptised recently.


Please pray for Monica Salmon, sister in law of Mary Eiffe (Rackenstown) who died during the week. May she rest in peace.


Wednesday is the Feast of All Saints. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. The Vigil Mass is at 7.00pm on Tuesday and the Masses on the 1st November are at 9.00am & 11.00am


Thursday is the Feast of all Souls. The Masses, which will be offered for all those on the Parish List of the Dead, are at 9.45am and at 7.30pm


The sick and the housebound will be attended to in their homes on Thursday and Friday


Polish Mass in Ashbourne on Wednesday 1st November at 9.00pm


Next Sunday is a blue offering day.

A Farewell Party for Fr. Phil will be held on Friday 24th November at 9.00pm in the Ratoath GAA Clubhouse to thank Fr. Phil for his service to Ratoath Parish. Tickets available from Ratoath Post Office; Johnny Ryan’s; Terry Brady’s; Ratoath Community Centre; O’Brien’s Carpets Dunshaughlin; Dunshaughlin Community School and Rathbeggan National School.


LMFM will record the Vigil Mass next Saturday evening for transmission the next day.



List of the Dead


All completed list of the dead should be returned to the box at the back of the church as soon as possible. All our dead are remembered in our Masses during November        (the month of the Holy Souls) and in the First Friday Masses throughout the year.

Remembrance Mass for All Our Dead

A new Bereavement Support Group is being set up in the parish. The first meeting will take place the Parish Resource Centre (beside the Parochial House) on Monday 6th November at 8.00pm. Anyone interested is welcome to come along. For further information contact Teresa on 01-8254609 after 6.00pm any evening.


Rainbows is a peer support for children of Primary school age who have had a difficult change in their lives, due to separation, divorce or death. The next programme will begin shortly in Ratoath National School and run for 12 weeks. For more information or application forms, please phone Judith O’Brien on 085-7239154

The Weekender newspaper is seeking to recruit a correspondent to write local notes for the Ratoath area. This is a part-time position, involving no more than a few hours work each week. It would suit a person with a sound local knowledge and good contacts, especially with local clubs, associations and voluntary organisations. The primary requirements are enthusiasm and

A programme organised by Aisling International will be made available to the community by Rathbeggan National School and the Parents Association. It is about parenting and supervising in the drug age. It helps develop skills for dealing with young people in today’s toxic environment. The programme is open to everyone. The programme commences on Wednesday 8th November at 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Rathbeggan National School. Cost of €20 per person.
