Congratulations Liam Frazer (Moulden Bridge), Alex Mitchell (Moulden Bridge),

Ruby McGuinness (Somerville), Sam Johnson (Somerville), Danielle Connelly (Somerville)

and Abbie Rossiter-O’Brien (The Old Mill) who were baptised recently.


Please pray for Robert Keenan (Leitrim) brother of Josie Reilly (Porterstown Lane) who died recently. May he rest in peace.


Fr. Phil has been appointed Parish Priest of Ardcath and Curragha.         He will take up duty on the weekend of 23rd/24th September.                   We congratulate Fr. Phil and wish him well in his new position.

Fr. Phil will say his goodbyes at all the Masses next weekend.


The Parish Choir have resumes rehearsals after their Summer break. They meet every Tuesday evening at 8.30pm and sing at the 12.15pm Mass on Sundays and other important days in the year. New members are always welcome.

If you are interested, call the parish office or just come along on Tuesday nights.


Eucharistic Ministers and Readers: If you would be willing to serve as a Eucharistic Minister or Reader of the Word of God, we would be delighted to have you to assist us at our Masses.

If you are new to the parish and have served as a Eucharistic Minister or Reader in your pervious parish, why not join our parish group.

Eucharistic Adoration is on Wednesdays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Parish Church.


Masses for Foreign Nationals will be celebrated in Ashbourne Church on

Sunday 10th September at 6.00pm in the Lithuanian Language;

Sunday 17th September at 8.00pm in Polish and on

Sunday 24th September at 4.00pm for the people from Kerala, India


A sum of money was found in the Parish Cemetery recently. Owner can collect it from the parish office.

A meeting of the Board of Management of Rathbeggan National School will take place on Thursday next 14th September at 8.30pm in the school.

Information Evening on Autism will take place in Ratoath Community Centre on

Tuesday 26th September at 8.00pm. It will be hosted by Ratoath ICA with Guest Speakers.

Topics including “What is Autism, What supports are available, Living with Autism “


Ratoath Bridge Club will commence their new year on Thursday 14th September at 7.30pm sharp in the GAA Clubhouse, Brownstown. New members welcome.


Ratoath Garden Club will have their first meeting of the year in Ratoath Community Centre on Monday 25th September at 8.30pm.


Ratoath Athletic Club. Training has resumed after the Summer break at the GAA grounds at Brownstown on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. New members, adults and juveniles, are very welcome. Juveniles should be nine years of age.

Ratoath Musical & Drama Society: are searching for boys and girls for their upcoming pantomime Cinderellato be staged in Ratoath’s Venue Theatre. Open auditions will be held on Sunday 17th September from 12.00am –5.00pm. Audition fee is €5.00 per child.

The Academy & Agency of Performing Arts is calling boys and girls aged 3-20 years interested in Dance, Drama and Singing to join us in the Community Centre every Saturday.

Fun and inspiring classes are provided in a professional environment where students can build confidence and develop as individuals. Students are encouraged to do Acting & Singing examinations with R.I.A.M. and L.A.M.D.A. but they are not compulsory.
