A Child’s Prayer for School
Dear God, come with me to school, be with me in my lessons in my play. Help me to be friendly and thoughtful, obedient to my teachers, careful in my studies and like Jesus in my words and deeds.  Amen
Come, Holy Spirit, and help me in my lessons,
Open my eyes and ears to your world about me; the sun and the stars and space,
numbers and  letters and words, people and places and ideas.
Give me the will to listen and learn; the patience to work well; the courage to seek and to question.
In gratitude I ask you to help my teachers so that they continue to help me.
Be close to me and teach me to enjoy learning and to do my best.
Amen
