Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes (12-17 September). On Friday 12thSeptember over 800 pilgrims from our Diocese travelled to Lourdes, among them are many of our elderly and sick and over 200 volunteer helpers.  During this time we invite all the people of the diocese to be part of this great movement of prayer, which leads us through the door of faith and into the presence of God and his action in our lives. This is also a time to acknowledge with gratitude the generosity of so many people in our diocese who make this pilgrimage possible.

Why not join the Parish Choir – a great way to meet people; conquer boredom; overcome the doldrums; expand your horizons and share your talents as a singer in investing in nurturing the life and faith of the parish community. The choir practice every Tuesday evening at 8.30pm in the Parish Pastoral Centre and sing at the 12.15pm Mass on Sunday. Come along, you will be most welcome

All of us want peace. Many people build it day by day through small gestures and acts; many of them are suffering, yet patiently persevere in their efforts to be peacemakers. All of us – especially those placed at the service of their respective peoples – have the duty to become instruments and artisans of peace, especially by our prayers. Building peace is difficult, but living without peace is a constant torment. The men and women of these lands, and of the entire world, all of them, ask us to bring before God their fervent hopes for peace.                                         Pope Francis on 25th May
