Parish Bulletin 31st May 2009
Holy Trinity Church, Ratoath31 May 2009
( 01 8256207

Opening hours for the Parish Office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9.30am– 4.00pm

We pray for all those who have suffered abuse of any kind: that the Lord of all tenderness and compassion will restore them and give them peace. We pray that we may become more and more a community     that actively cares for and protects the most vulnerable sections of our society. We pray for the Spirit of wisdom:                                             that it will enlighten the minds of all people                               and lead to a growth in awareness and determination to put an end to all acts of violence and abuse.

We thank all our parishioners who prepared and tended to their family plots, so that the cemetery looked so well for our Cemetery devotions on Sunday.                    We are most grateful to the generosity of all who contributed to the collection at the end of the cemetery prayers, which raised €4,350.

The annual Anointing of the Sick will take place next Sunday (7th June) at the 11.00am and 12.15pm Mass. If you know of anyone who might like to receive this sacrament you might inform them and if they need assistance to be brought to the church, perhaps you might oblige.
Congratulations to Reuben Surgenor (Dunshaughlin), Jessica Smyth (Moulden Bridge), Alexander McCormack (Woodlands Hall), Chloe Smyth (Steeplechase Hill), James Goggin (Glebe Park) and Lauren Brady (Elgarstown) who were baptised recently. Please pray for Mark Stanley (Somerville) and for Eugene McNamara (Roscommon), brother of Eilish O’ Sullivan (Kilbride Rd) who died during the week. May they rest in peace.  Envelope Collection for the week ending 17th & 24th May €1,799.51 Many thanks for your continued support and generosity. The sick and the housebound will be attended to in their homes on Thursday and Friday this week. “The priority that stands above all others today is to make God present in this world and to reveal to the eyes of all people the path to God”                                                                                      Pope Benedict XV1      Ratoath Parish Youth Team will meet on Monday 8th June upstairs in the Parish centre at 7.30pm.
