Opening hours for the Parish Office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9.30am– 4.00pm

 Monday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is a holy day of obligation. The Masses for the feast day are at 9.00am and 11.00am. The baptismal programme will be held on Wednesday evening 10th December in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 8.00pm. The children’s liturgy committee will meet on Wednesday evening 10th December in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 8.00pm. The Diocesan Choir present “The Spirit of Christmas” in Dalgan Park, Navan, on Thursday 11th December at 8.00pm. All welcome. 
Ratoath Conference of the St Vincent De Paul will hold their annual Christmas Church Gate collection this weekend 6th and 7th December. We ask you to be as generous as possible to their appeal, for the needy in our community.
 Christmas Youth Retreat: 19th -21st December Catholic Youth Retreat (16-35 years) Newbridge College Co Kildare. Free buses, no cost donation only bring sleeping bag. For information, please contact Doreen on 8257902.  Christmas Fair in St Paul’s National School on this Sunday 7th December 11.30am-3.00pm. Cake sale, book sale, and Santa will also be there.  P4P (People 4 people) Club would like to invite everyone to a chat and coffee in Ratoath Community Centre on Friday 12th December 10.30am to discuss what we need in Ratoath. The aim is to identify the needs of the community of Ratoath and to develop and organise and channel the community’s local resources to meet these needs. Ratoath possesses a huge untapped resource of a fast growing youthful population. P4P plans to link up with a range of local support groups to bridge the generation gap. This process will help develop the younger generation’s social awareness while providing care and support for the elderly and less well off in our society, enriching the lives of both groups. New Barn Farm: Come see the Live Crib, opening Monday 8th December at 3.00pm. All welcome. Ratoath Garden Club present “The Magic of Christmas” enjoy a evening of Floral Arranging with Carol Bone (Farmleigh) Monday 8th December in the GAA clubhouse at 8.00pm Light food served after demonstration.   Christmas Festival of Artisan Food and Local Crafts in Dalgan Park, Dublin Road, Navan on Sunday 14th December 2008 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. 20 indoor stands with Artisan foods & local crafts. All welcome.The Salesian College of Horticulture, Warrenstown is holding a Christmas Plant Fair on Sunday 14th December from 1.00pm to 5.00pm, offering poinsettias cyclamen, indoor planted bowls, outdoor trees and shrubs. This is an ideal opportunity to get your living Christmas presents. All welcome. Ratoath/Rathbeggan Community Games Draughts Blitz will take place on Monday 15th December at 8pm in GAA, Brownstown.   The winners of the Blitz will go on to represent their area at County area.  The age categories are under 10 (no younger than 8); under 12 and under 14 i.e. the child must be under their age category as at 31st July.   Registration will take place on the night and is €3 per child.  If you have any queries please contact Angela Cunningham on 086 1098937 or Deirdre McCormack on 085 7283263.   We look forward to seeing you on the night !   Dunshaughlin Players go back to their roots when they stage an evening of comedy, drama and music upstairs in The Arch Bar (O'Brien's) in Dunshaughlin from Thursday 11th December to Saturday 13th December at 8.30pm. The Ratoath Folk Group has put together a CD for charity. The name of the CD is “Voices for Chifani” and all the proceeds will go to the Zambian Immersion Programme. This charity is building a training centre in Kasama for young girls. The CD is €15 and will be on sale on Sunday 14th December after all the Masses. Please put this on your shopping list. Carlow) and later in Wales and on is return he settled in Clonard, Co. Meath, around 520, where he established a famous school. His pupils, among whom were Canice, Colum Cille and Brrendan, were the initiators of the great monastic expansion in Ireland. He died in 549 and is remembered as the tutor of the saints of Ireland.
