During the month of November we remember all our dead in our Masses, especially those on the parish list of the dead.

During the month of November many make the pilgrimage to the grave.

The cemetery, carpeted in the fallen leaves of autumn, reminds us of the flimsy hold we have on life.

Walking through the headstones brings back too, the memory of the men and women who walked the pilgrim path of life with us and shaped us by their love, and courage, and their endless understanding.

Lord in this month, when we remember all the faithful departed, reward the dead for the living they left us and all the beautiful memories.

Lord we miss them a lot, though we know they are at peace.

Sustain in your care those who have died,

and comfort us in the knowledge that one day we shall see them and you,

face to face.
