Help needed….

New Eucharistic Ministers and Readers. We are looking for new Eucharistic Ministers and Readers for our parish, to complement our existing Eucharistic Ministers and Readers. If interested in either of these ministries, please ring the parish office or let Fr. Gerry or Fr. Patrick know.

Baptism: We are hoping to introduce a baptismal programme for parents who wish to have their child baptised in our church. This programme is now the norm in most parishes. As a first step we need the assistance of a number of parishioners who would be willing to present the programme. You don’t have to be an expert, as you will be given the necessary training. The programme will run once a month and those who volunteer to run the programme will be asked to present the baptismal programme only a few times during the year.

Children’s Choir:

We are hoping to introduce a children’s choir in the autumn. It is proposed that the choir will sing at the Vigil Mass on every second Saturdays. They will alternate with the Parish Folk Group. We are looking for a number of people who would be willing to prepare the choir and direct them at the Mass. If you are interested in helping with the children’s choir, please ring the parish office or let Fr. Gerry or Fr. Patrick know.

Parish Choir: The parish choir will be resuming shortly after their Summer recess. They practice in the Parish Pastoral Centre on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm and they sing at the 12.15pm Mass on Sunday and at major liturgical occasions. New members are always welcome and if you are interested please ring the parish office or let Fr. Gerry or Fr. Patrick know.

Congratulations to Matthew Crossan (Steeplechase Wood), Emily Shine (Fox Lodge Manor),

Fynn McCordick (Steeplechase Hill), Lauren Wills (Foxbrook) and

Kenzie Cromwell (Leigh Valley) who were baptised recently.

Please pray for Ann Welsh (Belmullet) sister of Peter, Willie, John and Michael Carey (Ratoath) who died during the week. May she rest in peace.

Please keep Rev. James Crofton in your prayers as he approaches his ordination day on 30th September. He will be with us for the next number of weeks before he is ordained.
