Congratulations Finn Burton (Fox Lodge Woods), Cathal Masterson (Foxbrook),

Charlotte Elwood (Mill Tree Park) and William Kelly (Coill Beag) who were baptised recently.

 

Please pray for Pete Murray (Clonkeen) and Margaret (Peg) Manning, Clara Castle Co Kilkenny, sister of Mai McNally (Meadowbank Hill) who died recently. May they rest in peace.

 

Fr. Phil on the move…..                                                               Fr. Phil has been appointed Parish Priest of Ardcath and Curragha.         He will take up duty in his new parish next weekend - 23rd/24th September.

We congratulate Fr. Phil and wish him well in his new position.             We thank him most sincerely for his priestly duty to all the people of this parish which was marked by his dedication, commitment, energy and kindness to all over the past three years.

 

Next weekend, we welcome Fr. Phil’s replacement to Ratoath.

Fr. Patrick Donnelly, a native of Mullingar, was ordained in 2005 and has ministered in Kingscourt for the past year. We hope that he receives a warm welcome here and that he will enjoy his time with us.

 

A meeting of the Parish Liturgy Committee will take place on Monday 18th September at 8.00pm in the Parish Resource Centre.

 

A meeting of the Ratoath Senior National School will take place on Tuesday 19th September at 8.00pm in the Parish Resource Centre.

Official Opening of Ratoath National School  The Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin T.D. will officially open the new 16 classroom Ratoath Senior National School on Thursday morning next 21st September at 9.30am.                                                     The building will be blessed by                                                                   Bishop Michael Smith, the Bishop of Meath.                                                   The Garda Band will be performing on the day.

All are welcome to attend.

Ratoath College Parents Association - AGM on next Thursday night, 21st September at

8.30 pm in the Venue, Ratoath Community Centre. All parents are invited to attend.

 

Hospice Coffee Morning will take place on Thursday 21st September in Ratoath Community Centre from 9.30am to 12noon. Cake sale and raffle in the morning. All cake donations much appreciated. Anyone willing to help, please call Gina on 8257590 or turn up on the day.

Information Evening on Autism will take place in Ratoath Community Centre on

Tuesday 26th September at 8.00pm. It will be hosted by Ratoath ICA with Guest Speakers.

Ratoath Garden Club will have their first meeting of the year in Ratoath Community Centre on Monday 25th September at 8.30pm.

 

Ratoath Athletic Club. Training has resumed after the Summer break at the GAA grounds at Brownstown on Tuesday nights from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. New members, adults and juveniles, are very welcome. Juveniles should be nine years of age.

Ratoath Musical & Drama Society: are searching for boys and girls for their upcoming pantomime Cinderellato be staged in Ratoath’s Venue Theatre. Open auditions will be held on Sunday 17th September from 12.00am –5.00pm. Audition fee is €5.00 per child.
